From the reports of Captain George England recorded by psychostenographic aetheroscope.

15 March 1866

Approaching Liberty.

I may be unable to communicate from within the aetherstorm.

Anticipate two days to complete mission.

Witnesses confirm that the voice on this cylinder is that of Samuel Hardinge, late of the Department of Aethermantic Operations and Intelligence. This entry dated 16 March 1866, 11:14 a.m.

Upon receiving communication from my agent, I immediately alerted the 4th Skyfleet which I had arranged to be kept in readiness against this eventuality. We are now above the North Sea and proceeding apace to Liberty. I have stationed one of my aethermancers upon each destroyer. Once the storm is dispelled and Mr. Tudor has retrieved the research notes of the widow Lovelace, we will annihilate all trace of the town and the structure on which it stands.

Thus shall we secure for the Empire utter dominance over the sky and the aether in all its applications. In a few days, all Europe will have witnessed the power at our command and understand the folly of defying it.
